Playing solo

How to survive and get your loot out when nobody can pick you up.

  • Squad FillIt is on by default. Turn it off before you deploy to play alone.
  • Self-ReviveNobody will pick you up. Carry a Self-Revive Kit every raid.
  • QuietA suppressor and fewer AI kills keep the Hunt Squad off you.
  • ExfilSolo the exfil countdown is short. Scout it, call it, get on.

A solo raid

  1. 1

    Bring a cheap loadout

Plates, a Self-Revive Kit, a suppressed weapon and a backpack with a Secure Slot. Leave expensive gear at the FOB until you know the route.

  2. 2

    One goal per raid

Pick one area and one goal: a mission page, a key room or a few items. Short raids are safer alone.

  3. 3

    Bank cash early

Dynamic Operations pay straight into your Bank, even if you die later. Do one first.

  4. 4

    See before you are seen

A UAV Tower shows who is near, but switching it on shows you too. Use it when you are about to move, not when you stay.

  5. 5

    Pick your fights

Let squads pass. If you must fight, take the first shot from cover and move right after it.

  6. 6

    Leave early

Exfil while you still have plates and the storm is far. A half-full backpack out beats a full one lost.

Bosses you can take alone 4

Avoid

  • Walking out in the open between towns; follow cover and treelines.
  • Looting a body right after a fight; check for its squad first.
  • Assuming an operator is dead: no vultures overhead can mean Possum.
