DMZ Tactical runs as its own Windows app. It doesn't read or change game files or memory and doesn't send input to the game.
The map, plans, loot lists and settings are stored in your Windows profile. No account is needed.
Updates come from GitHub and are checked with a signed manifest and SHA-256 file hashes.
There are no ads and no analytics in the app or on this website.

Yes. DMZ Tactical is free to download and use. There are no ads and no paid features.
DMZ Tactical runs as a separate Windows app. It doesn't read or modify game files or memory, and it doesn't send input to the game. The F8 overlay is a standard window shown on top of the game. Activision hasn't reviewed DMZ Tactical, so we can't say how its security systems treat other apps.

Yes. The map, item search, raid plans and loot lists work without internet. You need a connection to download the app and get updates.
Set the game display mode to Borderless or Windowed and press F8. Press F8 again or Esc to return to the game. You can change the key in Settings.
Yes, on a Windows PC next to your console. The F8 overlay needs the game running on the same PC.
No. You enter item counts yourself, and the loot list shows what you still need.
The installer isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm. You can check the file's SHA-256 hash on the download page. Updates are verified with a signed manifest and file hashes.
Open Settings and choose Check for updates. If no update appears, download the installer again and run it. Your plans and settings stay.
Yes, a macOS version is planned. The first macOS test build is planned for version 0.9.6, and 1.0 will support Windows and Mac.
